What is the best method, barring having them encased, to keep 1:24 scale diecast cars clean?
I have over 50 1:24 Scale Models. They are on dispaly out of their boxes because I like to have the doors,hoods, and trunks open to show the interiors and the engine detail. They are displayed in my bedroom and my living room. I am very concerned about what cleaning products to use on them and whether or not I should ise a chamois on them to prevent scratching and breaking off any of the delicate parts like side view mirrors and windshield wipers.
I clean mine with a large makeup brush. It doesn't' do any damage to the finish or any of the small parts.When I have to move them for any reason, I wear cotton gloves so I don't leave any body oils on them. Treated this way, they really never get soiled, only dusty.
